Will has always been around Norwegian Elkhounds.  Having started showing in the Junior Handling Competitions at the age of 6, then showing his own Norwegian Elkhound in the Breed Ring when he received Kaisa as a gift for his 8th Birthday.  They achieved many things together, qualifying for the breed classes at Crufts every year.  They have won many first prizes in the handling competitions.  He has also qualified Kaisa twice for the YKC Handling and twice for the YKC Stakes, both also at Crufts.  His biggest handling success was being placed 2nd in the Junior Handling Association Semi-Finals held at Richmond 2008.  Will has been very lucky that the Norwegian Elkhound world has helped him so much over the last few years and many people have trusted him in showing their prize winning pets.   This culminated in him winning his first CC when he was just 10 years old.

He has also won many Group 1’s and Puppy Groups with our Norwegian Elkhounds at Open shows and has also been awarded Reserve Best in Show with Tara at the West Bromwich and Wednesbury Open Show in November 2008.

Since then, Will has campaigned Ruby to her 1st CC and 2 of her Green stars (including 4th in the Group at Deise Championship Show) and won 2 of Rigsby’s Green Stars including his final one to give him his IKC crown. He campaigns Trevor, (Ir Ch Whittimere Pontiac ShCM ) with whom he gained his Irish Ch Title and has won many awards at Open Shows, including Best in Show at Market Harborough & DCS Open Show.

At WKC 2012, Will handled Pearly to her second CC and also handled Jake (Ch & Ir Ch Whittimere Platinum) to Hound Group 2 under Norwegian Mr Espen Engh.  Pearl and Will won her 4th CC at Crufts (Will’s first at the world-renowned show).  Also winning in February 2013 the prestigious title of Champion of Champions of the Norwegian Elkhound Club of GB.

Will has been constantly helped and encouraged by many many people.  We will be eternally grateful to those who have allowed him to blossom and grow in his favourite past-time and allowed him the privilege of owning, handling or grooming their dogs.

Will is very excited to have Pearl in his life and is looking forward to showing her continually in the future.
